3.1 You can’t breathe money

Which is true?

Interdependence

We all live together on our beautiful planet, in increasingly complex forms of society. That is why we have established structures and designed systems to organize and regulate our lives. One example of such a system is our economy. The economy regulates the distribution of raw materials, goods, and services.

No economy is possible without materials and people. The planet, however, is doing just fine without an economy. We cannot escape this dependence. Nor can we do so by putting off the consequences. Sustainable solutions must improve quality of life within the planet’s ecological limits in order to ultimately build a strong “business case.”

Next, we’ll take a closer look at how the Planet works.
